Description:

What if we developed a federated network that was intentionally disconnected from the internet? This session explores the possibility of off-line first, off-grid networks where limited range and high degrees of locality are features designed to build stronger connections between neighbors. By embracing slow, sporadic connectivity—where information might be delivered by bicycle or carrier pigeon—we can use existing free software to create intentional, community-focused communication systems.
